Paul Netscher has worked in construction for 28 years and has been involved with over 120 projects, in five countries, across a wide variety of fields including; concrete structures, buildings, roads, earthworks and infrastructure. He has worked with a wide range of clients encompassing private, corporate, government, mining and oil and gas. His experience comprises securing work, client management, tender review, project management, contract management, project planning, problem solving and ensuring projects capture all potential variations. In addition, he has a strong focus on safety and quality. He has held senior positions in major construction companies, served on various industry bodies and advised on training, mentoring, construction curriculum and contractual matters. He is passionate about mentoring and training and many in his team have developed and been promoted into senior management roles. Paul Netscher has a degree in civil engineering and has attended various contractual, legal, financial, safety and project management courses. He has also written 'Building a Successful Construction Company - The Practical Guide'

I'm glad he didn't take the usual class room process group ...

It is quite clear beyond any doubt that Mr. Netscher has been through many projects of all different sizes, in different construction categories and in many different places which opens up to different cultural labor force and different construction method and added risk. I'm glad he didn't take the usual class room process group text book approach. Most chapters deals with a specific content, ready to be applied by the contractor. It's also good to learn from someone who made mistakes, takes blame, which made the book real. He presents the information to cover everything in an easy flowing read. Great Job.

One of the best practical guides for PM in construction

The book is really great. Its perfectly refills majority of PM theoretical books with practical experience of real professional. I like this type of material because its not just an interesting reading (its really is) but it is a kind of methodology.
The point is that’s you can dig out some practical methods from stories inside and write them in the form of procedures or processes.
Construction contracts, PM templates can be seriously improved if you are ready to educate yourself with this helpful supporting source.
