About the Author
Chinghua Tang was born in Shanghai, where he studied at East China Normal University. He subsequently graduated from the London School of Economics and was the first Harvard MBA from the People’s Republic of China. He has worked at several asset management firms, including Barclays, and today runs his own management consulting firm, Concorde Universal Inc. He lives in New York City.

An Outstanding Book

I was looking on internet for a book about the wisdom of ancient China’s leaders, when the cover of The Ruler’s Guide caught my attention. The book has a decent price so I decided to order it from Amazon. I received the book and started reading it. The book contains the dialogues of one of the greatest China emperors with his advisers. This book is a jewel, it is well worth reading by anybody, especially a great guide for people holding positions of leadership in government, business, or any other organization.

A Classic on Leadership, Management and Discipleship
The Ruler’s Guide unlocks the “timeless secrets of success” of Tang Taizong, one of the greatest emperors China has ever produced. His dynasty is the longest, the most expansive and considered China’s golden age. Chang’an, the capital city, was so far advanced compared to Europe which was in the “dark ages” during that period. This book is a fascinating and classic but easy read. The author, Chinghua Tang, presented conversations and wise sayings, and at the end of each chapter made appropriate reference to contemporary times. This book is a classic on leadership, management and discipleship. Much wisdom can be gained from the life, work and philosophy of Tang Taizong.

A Highly Credible Guide!
The Ruler’s Guide is highly credible because tips in the book came from a man who set out to build a great, long-lasting enterprise when he was 28 years old and who succeeded spectacularly. If you want to live a long, healthy life, it makes sense to heed advice from somebody who has actually lived a long, healthy life. If you want to build lasting success for your organization, it makes sense to heed advice from somebody who actually built a great enterprise that lasted many years (nearly 300 years in this case). It's a book well worth reading!
